TLDR; tried to negotiate my lease and it bit me in the ass — instead of a $50 increase it’s now a $75 increase. Is that even legal? I am a working member of society adisabled individual, what are my options?

I’m in the middle of lease renewal they proposed a $50 increase. Mind you I’m also responsible for landscape ( water for lawn) as well as one annual PROFESSIONAL carpet cleaning. I’ve never been late, I always pay early.

I suggested leaving the price the same and I’d sign a two year lease. Well obviously we all know landlords/property managers have the upper hand. Property manager (PM) goes back to the landlord (LL) supposedly and comes back two days later saying the LL agreed to 2years with $75 increase.

Is that legal? Does that invalidate the first offer? Can they rescind entirely ? Do I have any leverage as a disabled individual?

I NEEEED stability and don’t want to move if I could I’d sign a 3 year lease lmao. I think i fucked up by showing them my cards aka my want to stay long term.
