My company wants me to sign off on an image rights waiver. Does this mean that they could use AI to generate any type of content whatsoever in the future? Is this a risk worth taking. If I don't sign it, I can't participate in company events.

Waiver:

I hereby irrevocably authorize Company to use video and photographs of my person taken on the Event by Company, its agents and representatives, in all forms and media, whether now existing or hereafter developed, including but not limited to print, broadcast, digital, audio, video, Internet, computer-generation, holographic, and any other means of communication, for advertising, trade, promotion, recruiting, exhibition, or any other lawful purpose whatsoever. I hereby release, waive, and discharge any and all claims that I or my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, may have now or in the future against Company, its directors, officers, or employees (hereinafter referred to as “Released Parties”) for any liability, expenses, loss or damage to person or property, injury, death, or disability suffered from or in connection with my participation in the Event, including any negligence or gross negligence on the part of the Released Parties, as well as from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of video or photographs of my person during the event by Company, its agents and representatives, or in any processing tending toward the completion of the finished product. I further waive any right that I may have to inspect or approve the finished product or the advertising or other copy that may be used in connection with video or photographs of my person taken during the Event by Company, its agents and representatives, or the use to which such may be applied. I hereby agree not to sue or make claims against the Released Parties in connection with my participation in the Event and give up all my rights to do so.

I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage or costs (including but not limited to attorney fees) they may incur arising from, or relating in any way to, my or my guest(s)’ participation in the Event, including the use of my image or likeness by Company for the aforementioned reasons, whether due to my negligence or otherwise.
