I live and work in Washington state and my employer has been more than shady the entire time I have worked there which is just under a year. I work at a small seafood shop that specializes in high quality local fresh seafood. To start my manager is his girlfriend that is a hardcore alcoholic and is only in the shop for 3 to 4 hours 6 days a week of which about every other day she gets wasted and starts yelling at her employees to start. She smokes cigarettes in her office which is only feet away from the seafood counter and it’s a very small shop. She has a loaded gun in her office which she is known to leave laying out and I guess I should mention that we do sell wine inside our store. I wish that was the only problems but it’s just the beginning. My paychecks are often wrong in which my hours have been changed and I bring it to their attention only to be told that it’s not there issue because the accountant does payroll. This same accountant is blamed for when our checks are not there on payday and my direct deposit doesn’t drop. I have not been paid on payday a half dozen times and currently my boss owes me over $400 from them messing with my checks in just the last two pay periods but they will not do anything about it until they get back from their 3 week vacation. They messed up all of our tax info on our w2s and one worker is trying to get his fixed cause it had him making an extra $40000 that he never earned so it looks like he never paid taxes on it. There are many other instances of shady shit and I kndowni should probably just quit but I want to get what I’m owed and make sure this bastard is held accountable because he has been getting away with it for to long
