My father passed a year ago and I am the successor trustee of his trust. All of his assets were amassed and all bills paid. The bulk of the trustโs assets were distributed to the beneficiaries with a small amount held back just in case. The final trust tax formed was filed with the IRS. Today, I received a letter from DCM Services wanting to know who is in charge of his estate. The letter states that they can only tell the estate representative why they are asking. I know of no unpaid bills and have not receive any communications in regards to monies due. Do I tell DCM that I am in charge, or ignore the letter. Thank you. Edit: I had been the one paying all the bills for a few years and thus knew all bills.
