When I was discussing renewing my lease with the property management company that took over my lease midway through last year, I was told the rent would be 935. When I received my renewal lease,3 full months after requesting it, the rent was 1010$. When I said that was incorrect per our previous discussions I was told the extra 75 was an admin fee that would be removed if I paid rent on or before the first but would stay if I paid on the 2nd or after. I said I wasn’t comfortable with this since that was not disclosed before when the rent price was discussed and was told that the individual I was speaking with at that time no longer worked with the company and that 1010 is what rent would be and that ever lease they have has the admin fee. My question is basically is this normal for rental companies? With them raising the rent without disclosing it prior to the lease is it false advertising? Mostly just curious but any info would be great
