In the beginning of September I moved to a new apartment, all was well until October where it started to get cold (MI) and our heat for the building was turned on. Come to find out in this 2 Bedroom apartment there is one broken heater (boiler heat) and the second bedroom is just missing one but there's holes in the floor where I assume it should be? I notified my complex manager about the issue and heard no word back. In November a sign was posted to the front door that the building had been sold to another company. Unfortunately during that time I also had some issues for myself dealing with a sick family member and my own health issues. So I haven't been able to pay rent in it's entirety. So now I have a summons but I am wondering if there is anything I can do about the boiler issue, we have had a few cold snaps since then and just blankets don't cut it. I've sent one email to the new company back in December about the issue but heard nothing back, what else should I do and is this something I should bring up in the court room?
