Got into in accident about a month ago where I lost control turning on and exit, swerved and hit a guard rail. I didn’t call my insurance because I did not have collision (I assumed this was not necessary). After taking the car to a mechanic, I was informed my frame was bent and that my car was most likely not worth repairing due to its high mileage, age and extent of damage. At this point I’m not sure what to do. Am I supposed to junk it? Would this require a salvage title? Would I need it to be inspected/ evaluated by my insurance??
Trying to maximize the amount of money I can get for my totaled car.
Looking for advice and what direction I should go in.
