I was hurt on the job, and there’s been very little communication between my employer and I aside from what I’ve pursued. Is this the normal thing that happens?
Post Body

I hurt my hand on the job, my hand started swelling, and I sent a video to my boss, who was on vacation. I heard nothing back, so I figured it was just irritated and kept working. Then by the time I got home, it was very fat and I couldn’t grab anything, and it was very painful as well. The next day I told my boss, that it was still hurt, and that I was going to see a doctor. I heard nothing back. Later that evening it was feeling better so I texted that I could come in, just needed to be careful. My boss texted not to come in and he would talk to the head boss, and see if there was modified work I could do. I heard nothing. Then I told them that I wanted to file a workman’s comp claim. I went to urgent care and had bruised my bone and doc said no work for a week. So Monday I went to work since it had been a week and they said they couldn’t let me work by law and I needed a work release. My workman’s comp claim was still on the desk. I don’t have insurance and I told them the doctor gave me permission to return after a week. The head boss said he would talk to my boss his partner and get back to me. I have heard NOTHING. I will have been out of work for three weeks now, with no one telling me anything. Is this common?
