Was in the arcade at a resort. I ran into my old Nemesis, Galaga. It has a left hand joystick and right hand fire button. ((Hey it was good enough for those who were around during the first Reagan Administration. 👴🏻👴🏻).
With only a fire button on the right side, and without auto repeat, you need to be able to tap the button as fast as possible. Being left-handed, I have an arms crossed stance where my right hand manipulates the joystick on the left side, my left hand reaches underneath to tap the fire button in the right side. Takes me more coordination, than the kids half my age, or even 1/4 of my age. But I can beat them.
