does it matter how many users you beat ?

i am a newbie and just started leetcoding after completing algorithms part 1. I solved 3 problems and i was wondering does it matter how many users i beat? One of my solution only beats 20% of users in java and i was feeling bad .. but its one of the recommended solutions when i looked in solutions tab. and also when i can be sure if my solution is good enough?
