Connected my Nano S to another computer, and linked to metamask. Did NOT ask for recovery phrase?

Hi everyone.
Sorry I'm very new using a Ledger Nano S, and I'm a bit unfamiliar with it, and I was hoping one of you kind folks could help me out.

To explain, I bought a nano ledger s, installed it on a computer yesterday, put a pin on it, and wrote down the recovery phrase and everything.

Then I connected the wallet to a new computer today, and linked it to another metamask, and I was not asked for the passphrase, especially when it was connected to the Ledger Live app.

Is this normal? I seem to have the same eth address as I did on the other computer.
I'm just slightly confused as to whether or not I am accessing the same wallet?
