Ledger won't connect to web browser at all + works on the Ledger Live app

Hey, I have a massive problem. My ledger wont connect to my metamask/web browser anymore and I'm getting hit with massive Imp loss because I can't even remove liquidity from Uniswap pools. My ledger works on Ledger live but I cannot get it to connect or interface with metamask at all, I've tried on Chrome/Brave. This is really becoming a problem, at first, it was just patchy but now I'm losing a lot of Eth from my pools and can't do anything about it. Any advice would be welcomed! Trying not to sound angry but it really hurts.
