Hello, ladies and gentlemen.

So I've been sitting around this morning and I was reading about the Italian Renaissance and the French Enlightenment. Europe was not so different at one point in history. The Church was taking over, ignorance is the law and people bended over yet those who couldn't live by 'ignorance is bliss' existed, gathered, elaborated, worked in the darkness and maybe they did not live to see how their innovations, ideals and ideologies materialized in full but if they were still alive today - they would've been proud. What they left behind progressed civilization more than religious oppression ever could (which is still obviously predominant today). I'm not talking here to every single user in this subreddit. I know most of you aren't a part of my target audience, maybe none of y'all is but hear me out. Our society is sick and I don't mean sick as a negative adjective. I mean it as disturbed, distorted, weak, on the verge of death, unstable. An adjective that should induce sympathy and pity in the observer's heart. I won't go through what makes us a sick society - you know why and I know why and the outsiders don't know why. It's a disease only we are able to understand. The cure, however. Everybody on the outside has a cure for our disease but we cannot see it. I cannot see it. It's easy to write the ideals we need to live by but I just can't see the individuals living inside living by them - me included. It's easy to write down norms and morals but it's hard to live by them but you constantly feel threatened, taken advantage of, robbed, humiliated by somebody else within the same nation. I don't blame you for belonging to a certain community and hating another nor do I blame the other party for hating you. It's by now a part of our fundamentals and we've been raised so far apart. I blame nobody for thei sentiments but I blame everybody for not keeping an open mind, for justifying the hatred they give but they deny the hatred they receive. The laws of sociology, biology, algebra, philosophy and the remaining fields of thoughts that humans have established function upon patterns made up by humans so much so our bodies function according to the same patterns. When systems seem robust and unchangeable - a minimal infiltration could break down the entire system. A healthy body could break down entirely through an infiltration of an undesired virus. A cancer grows bigger and bigger until the body is met with its inevitable demise and the best part is nothing and nobody last forever. We need a cancer to kill the system our parents were given, the system our grandparents established, the system we will be passing on to our children. We need to be the cancer. We need to form our own Renaissance, our own Enlightenment. We should establish our updated set of morals and ideals and pass the message. We need to fight the status quo. We need to form a cult-like community that shall connect Lebanese youths with a similar mindset and work together combining our set of skills, our knowledge, our connections and our networks to create projects, non-fraudulent businesses that have a goal of providing products and services aiming to make profits and accumulate capital. Our markets are sinking, the basic laws of economics, the simple supply and demand principle are shattered and the geopolitical influences are not making things better. Entrepreneurs and academics should lead our nation, issues need to be faced theoretically and practically. Decisions have to be optimized.

Anyway I spent some time writing this - it was just a fleeting thought. I'm home today for a vacation but I've been living abroad for 5 years now and nothing encourages me to come back. Many of you share the same feelings. Maybe some of you share the same thoughts, that things shouldn't be like that, that our parents should live better, that our children deserve a home with a culture that's a part of our and their subconscious. But eventually nothing is going to happen and despite the existing technology that could make this initiative possible alongside the emergence of the blockchain that could further rend us more connected through a decentralized system, I still don't see things improving nor do I see our generation standing up to its primitive teachings.

That being said, ignorance is truly bliss.
