Genuine question. Wondering because you don't see drug addicts with needles or laying on the street like in some downtown cities in the US or Canada. Do Lebanese do this secretly then? How big of a problem is it in Lebanon? Obviously it's seen as "3ayb," so I have a feeling people it secretly.
There is an addiction problem. We see it every day in the hospitals and clinics (i'm a med student), but people don't talk about it because it's still considered as "taboo". There are many rehabilitation programs in the country that deliver good care.
We don't see them in society because most of them are embraced by family, young people and older people equally.
