How do I manage appetite?
Post Body

Hey folks,

I’ve decided after 8 years of smoking everyday all day to quit cold turkey and I am currently on day 3. Withdrawal symptoms are most certainly present but the most pressing physical symptom is my lack (?) of appetite.

I feel like through my abuse of weed my body does not know how to function and consume food normally when I am not high. It’s almost like I have a food aversion issue now where I can hardly stand to look at or even smell food.

I can get some down in small amounts but major meals are not happening. I’m lost as to what to do…like I am so terribly hungry but after a few bites my body literally will not let me ingest more. I feel nauseous when chewing and swallowing food and have to quit after a few bites despite my body screaming for nutrients.

Unfortunately, I travel frequently for work and so making smoothies/other easy ideas such as so are not readily available to me. I just don’t know how to manage this because I need food to have energy to get through my day but my body continually rejects.

Please, if anyone has any advice I would love to hear ideas. I recognize I am early in the process, but it is driving me insane to feel so tired and hungry and unable to help support my body to actually begin recovering and getting things back to a ‘normal’ state.
