I've been a daily smoker for about 20 years. Always convinced myself that it was harmless. Meanwhile I lived life in a state of anxiety--filled paranoia. After reading countless studies that are now coming now about how cannabis can damage the brain, I finally decided that enough is enough.
First three days were rough, man. But I'm on Day 5 and I'm just feeling more...regular. I noticed that when I was reading an article, I was really able to focus and retain the information, something I haven't felt in a long time.
Even right now, I'm typing super fast and I'm able to translate my thoughts into words so much easier.
For anyone trying to quit: KEEP F ING GOING. You and I both know this drug isn't serving you anymore. Buck the f up and find the strength to battle that first week. It will become MUCH easier after that.
Recently read a poll that said that something like 95% of people are able to fully quit if they make it past the first 5-7 days. You got this!
If anyone needs help, advice, encouragement, PLEASE DM ME! I want to help. I'm so sick of being a pothead. Stay strong and remember: you've got this. You have the power to quit. Take your life back!
