Are different front and back hem measurements a good idea?

I have a leather jacket I am having custom made, it's a biker style jacket 1.2 mm thick. I really like the idea of having a forward slant in the bottom hem, I want the jacket to be a shorter Jacket, though I am having trouble figuring out how to make it work. For the back hem being shorter than the front, is it best to cut it above, at, mid-belt or below the belt, them have the front a little longer. It's a sleek not super baggy jacket but I want to avoid the jacket riding up and getting caught on the belt or being uncomfortable when sitting. What are your experiences with different hem lengths?
