Need help identifying the year and the type of leather on this jacket

Just got this jacket today, this is my first ârealâ leather jacket and though it says âgenuine leatherâ which is another phrase used for garbage nowadaysâŚit feels a lot like actual cow hide! And far more superior to any genuine leather Iâve felt. The person I got it from stated they machine washed it inside out as it is still damp. Any recommendations for reviving the leather or any idea what year this jacket is even from?? Iâm new to leather jackets so any comments at all will help!
