When to worry about updating python version. Anaconda w/ python 3.8.3
Post Body

Howdy ya'll,

I've been tinkering with the very basics of python for a few years off and on, and recently have realized it's time to get serious and really start getting better. That being said, when I first started, I downloaded Anaconda and that came with python 3.8.3.

My question is very general as a relative beginner: When should I worry about upgrading to a newer version of python? Also, as I'm using anaconda, would I just do something like "conda update anaconda" to get the newest python version or would I create a separate environment for a newer python version?

I currently have a few other anaconda environments that I played with using python 3.5 and 3.6 for an older library for fun, and an environment even shows up in the anaconda navigator called rstudio for R (sub-question: is that normal or did I create this a while ago and forgot how I did so?)
