Creating your own library?
Post Body

I've been through some youtube tutorials, personal little projects, and seen all the basics according to Al Sweigart's course.

I've been channeling my love for ttrpgs to further my coding.

I'm coding some dice roll algorithms that I cannot directly get with anydice.com (the web resource I would use before and I still use for check and reference).

Functions I know I'm going to be using repeteadly and would ease my projects. Right now I just copy-paste code between files.

Perhaps I could try making a library of my own? For what I've read so far seems doable. It would be fine practice for me and could be an asset for my future github.

Should I search for preexisting libraries that are probably already there? I suspect knowing how to find and use preexisting libraries is a must, and that's something I haven't gotten into yet.

I wanna do things in a way that will allow me to get a portfolio and proffesional knowledge in due time.

What should I do?

Shall I get into making my own library without really knowing much about libraries?
