Hey there guys! So I went to the Apple store today to scoop up a laptop. However I wanted a second opinion, before i spent a lot of money. Is there anyone who has programmed, done systems and application development on the M1 MacBook Air? The M1 air fits my price range perfectly, but it has less memory(8gb). However the pro has 16gb memory, but the same M1 chip. What’s got me worried is that once I’m doing development, I fear the M1 air might crash or lag too much. But at the same time if the performance issues are not drastic, I wouldn’t want to spend the extra 1K on the pro. I’m an Information systems major with a minor in computer science. Looking to use this laptop for classes and mostly side projects.
