Installing Anaconda on a computer that already has Python
Post Body

So I downloaded python over the summer (on a windows device) and began learning but took a break since starting grad school. Since then I’ve downloaded Anaconda on a different device (Mac) and have been learning both R and Python.

I now would like to go back to my windows device and install Anaconda because it seems nice to have everything right there and be able to use both Rstudio and Jupyter notebook.

So my question is:

If I have python already installed (on windows) can I just install Anaconda? Will this mean I have the language downloaded twice? And any packages (numpy etc) will be messed up, moved or otherwise rendered unusable?

Any info is greatly appreciated as this stuff can be overwhelming at times :)
