Post Body

Pandas. I love it. It's the first module I got exposed to, and using it to manipulate data makes me feel like a 5head. With one exception: dates. Dates are the bane of my existence. I can never ever ever get my dates cleaned up. Half the time I will give up and manually go into the data file and convert the date formats. Which, as a would be programmer, is anathema to my existence.

I have read SO articles and Pandas docs until my eyes dry up but I still can't get them to work. to_date and strftime tease me with promises of quick and easy solutions but my dreams are haunted by errors.

I'm not really looking for help, God alone knows if anyone on this planet knows how it's supposed to work (also I'm sure it's project specific), I just wanted to share my pain.

Stay safe out there folks.
