Is there any progress solving problems as a beginner ?

I tried to solve few questions on code wars i started with easiest questions but some of them were really hard also had to spend 1 hours for those easy questions. Then i felt like if i cant solve these easy questions how can i answer the hard once. Will there be any progress for me by solving these question Or should i have a genetic skill to solve them :/
