23M in Detroit, Michigan. I currently just graduated this August with my bachelors in Geospatial information science. While the majority of my classes were GIS work I did have the chance to take one class in Java and another in Python.
I noticed that most jobs in GIS Donโt pay over 70k where as my friend who is a software developer makes almost 6 figures.
I feel like with my level of education and a Bootcamp course this might elevate me in my career. What do you think?
Should I go more into Java or Python?
Which one has more opportunities?
Also, what are the pros and cons of being a developer?
