Maybe it's a very common question or maybe it's absurd because there a lot of success stories via self-taught route. But I wanna know it for myself if it's possible to get a job as software developer/coder if you don't have a degree (not even an unrelated degree). I do have a diploma though, I did diploma - Computer Information systems. But I didn't get internships while doing that and then didn't get a job afterwards. However, I didn't do much coding during my diploma. But I'm trying to learn by myself now. Is it possible to get a job by learning online and by not going to college or bootcamp? I'm from Vancouver, Canada. I can't leave my job because I need to pay my bills. I'm working at a job now (started recently) which is basically a customer service role but that company has an IT department. Is it possible to move to that dept. If I don't have a degree? What are the ways to self-learn a get job. Any answer will be helpful. I'm in a very confused situation right now.
