So my school's robotics team is going to need another mentor coder in 2-3 years so the school is providing me some resources and I am learning Java. But I also see this as a great opportunity to create additional income for myself doing part-time/contract work during the summer months.
Realistically, where should I look for work like this, and what should I be focusing on to improve my Java skills for this type of work?
Note: I actually like my teaching job, and I have no desire to leave the profession, so input on how to transition away is not wanted. I'm just looking for additional income for projects and future goals.
