Where’s a good place to host a website for free?

Just looking for some advice on where I can get hosting, im just planning to put up a website as a hobby and practice my javascript and html/css skills. Back in the 90s i used tripod or lycos i think, the website is still standing i think, albeit flooded with ads making the links unuseable. I was able to fit in the 20megabytes of free space allotted to me. Was hoping to find somewhere in this day and age to be able to have reasonable online space and where a database and javascript is supported. If not totally free im open to paying just not too much as im not rich.. thank you.
