So I have tasked myself with building a full fledged LMS system like Canvas. I have very little programming knowledge just took on this project because of my keen interest in programming. I am aware that I might be too ambitious with this but I do have to try to build it somehow. Plus with COVID-19 I don't really have anything better to do at home. I do realize the enormity and scale of this project but I am focussed on learning the skill rather than perfecting the target.

I want the community to help me with what specific programming knowledge would be required in order to initiate this task. Which language and platforms should I begin with? A list in order of what should I do first and look into would be of great help.
