How can I learn to professionally test software?

For some reason my university never had a course on this and I feel like it's something I should definitely know based on the interviews I've gotten. I've seen also seen knowledge of Selenium as a want in a few jobs I've applied for. Anyone know how of any good resources I could use to learn some of this?
