So I've a strong background in 3d design (animating/rigging, texturing, sculpting etc etc), and I want to become proficient with C enough to work with some of the game engines that are free nowadays. (UDK, cryengine etc).
Is there any tips on absorbing the information? I'm using pluralsight video lessons, and I got myself a C book which I'll read whenever I'm commuting around.
I have two monitors, so should I do stuff like make notes (as if I was in a lecture) while I watch the video lessons? Or is it better to go along with the instructor? How many hours/day should I allocate to maximize my learning? Any tips are welcome, so thanks for reading!
