I’m a lawyer at a small firm and I plan on applying for Launch code summer session. However, I’d like to build an automation for my first ever project. My firm has around 1,100 cases and one poor overworked secretary responsible for organizing and filling out the calendar. My cheap boss won’t pay for anything to help her (a theme of why I’m planning my exit).
So for my first coding project I wanted to build a script that could pull court dates from the State court emails we receive and automatically put them in google calendar. Even better if I could sync it to Mycase but that seems out of my league. This would dramatically reduce her workload and overall stress level while hopefully improving my resume for Launchcode.
Can anyone provide me some tips of how I get started on this? I’d really appreciate it
