Hi there,
I am using Twilio with firebase cloud functions to send SMS alerts when my app has no data coverage, all works nicely but... I need a user to be able to reply 'yes' or 'no' the an SMS and then update my data based on that response.
I have a webhook in place and can see the response coming in but I need to embed a unique Id into the data so I know which record to update with the yes/no. Is there a way I can do this?
There is a wealth of documentation out there, maybe too much as I am getting lost in it
My process:
- Firebase cloud function sends SMS from my Twilio number to the users
- Users can respond with yes/no
- Upon response Twilio pings my Firebase API with the SMS data (In here I need either the original smsID being responded to or my unique Id)
- I take the data and run a few queries to update my original alert
Any help would be greatly appreciated
