What is the grammatical rule for this?
Post Body

il est vs C’est. Hi all, I’m using Rosetta Stone for French basics. Since I speak Spanish I can normally infer what the grammatical rule is for things but this set has me stumped. I thought the rule would be that objects are “c’est” and people would be “il/elle/ils est/son” but apparently not. Can someone explain to me why the little would is “c’est” instead of “il est”?
