Learning through watching videos
Post Body

Hey everyone

I've been learning Dutch for a few months now. I understand a few words. Familiar with a few grammar rules etc. But I am looking to expand my knowledge through watching Dutch shows or videos. Trying to immerse myself more to the language.

I saw in this subreddit people recommending this channel https://www.youtube.com/jeugdjournaal.

So I started watching videos from that channel with the captions turned on. I just wanted to ask what is a good approach of trying to learn through videos.

Should I try to translate per sentence as I watch

Should I try to write down unfamiliar words to expand my vocabulary

Any suggestions would be great :)

Thanks
