How to play Shadow Shaman properly?
Post Body

I'm not that new of a player (2,8k mmr) but i cant figure SS out. On paper he seems like a solid hero, decent lockdown, hex, nuke and a great pushing ult. But it seems like noone can play him properly in my mmr range (including me).

I would like to know what im doing wrong. My belief is this every won teamfight you push and get a tower, so if im the only hero on the team that can push quickly i try not using my ult in teamfights.

What i think im doing wrong is this, sometimes when my team is losing a fight badly i go to a different lane and try to solo a tower (usually t1) and breaking highground often fails because i place wards before anyone runs in, we retreat and lose wards. But even i it seems like im doing everything right we still lose (and i don't feel like its my teams fault most of the time).

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to play ss well, i really like the concept of the hero but i think there is something about him i don't understand and it prevents me from playing him successfully.
