this year's midscopes were pretty weak, huh
Post Body

i might have missed someone on this list but i think this is everyone

Swain - was just made easier to play

Syndra - made way easier to play and is/was an enormous elo boost for a while, less counterplay too since her empowered E has a massive slow even without hitting a ball

Sivir - got made worse in her niche as a utility adc to be made better at DPSing crowds, not surprisingly this was unreasonable compared to other AOE hypercarries because she is safer than them and again has a huge utility team button. now just mediocre at everything which makes her nerfed utility feel even shittier

Olaf - got a bunch of his counterplay taken out, had a bunch of stuff added in that completely removes his need to itemize for anything beyond raw stats, and has just been left permanently OP in top because nobody wants to play him. Lost his diving niche in favor of just being another anti-melee juggernaut and now exists in a role that there's already like 3 or 4 other juggernauts occupying.

Taliyah - got made way easier to play and still has no players. i can't comment on her balance because I haven't seen anyone play or discuss her in months.

seeing this, why should I have high hopes for jax and rell, or want even more of these reworks? Out of this list, I'd say swain and syndra were the closest to be successful, since Swain's main goal was to revive his solo laning and Syndra was specifically about making her easier and then trying to nerf her more for pros.

Thoughts?
