Third Poll for my Essay: Storylines vs Competitiveness LOL Esports.
Post Body
Right. I think I am getting there with this essay. I will be excited to share it with you all within the next few weeks. But currently, I still to compile the stats from the first and second polls (please check them out if you haven't). But this poll is asking if you prefer storylines or competitive games.
A storyline would be something akin to:
- LEC vs LCS the story of NA vs. EU
- Doublelift at peak vs UZI
- TSM vs TL or TSM vs C9
- Caps at peak vs. Faker
- "insert new academy player here" debuting in a game
- Bjergsen vs. Jensen
A competitive game would be:
- close games like base races
- non-fiesta games where everything is played at the cleanest level
- Game 5 overtime 2-2 winner takes all
- unstoppable force vs immovable object type games (imagine the hype between FPX and G2 in 2019)
- Unique and interesting picks that define or destroy the meta (basically not the LCS spamming trundle, voli and udyr)
