tbqh i don't think steraks needs adjusted at all and that fighter items are actually in a fairly solid spot after the major outliers in mythics have been reined in. I think it's kind of confusing they note Steraks' everpresent nature when that's not an issue of numbers, and it seems like they deliberately wanted it to be like a deathcap for fighters with the way it synergizes with all our defense stats. Steraks was reworked into the most generalist defense item and also the only generalist defense item fighters have, with everything else (DD, maw, hullbreaker) all having a niche they fill into instead.

but if they're gonna mess with it for the sake of change I'd just prefer a revert. Getting back some of the AD I've lost as well as a less conditional shield that provides tenacity over healing would be solid. Anything new Riot does I'm like 90% confident that they will miss the point and make it stronger for mobile fighters, the same way Goredrinker was clearly intended for juggernauts as a reward for reaching a team and forgot about the people who can just jump into you with a point and click.

but yeah, revert steraks back to giving me 78 AD at level 18 please. =)

We’re also looking to change some Fighter items. In particular, Sterak’s Gage has become a universal purchase, washing out the differences between bruisers (like Darius or Illaoi) versus light fighters (like Fiora or Irelia). We’re also working on some other items, most likely Maw of Malmortius and Death’s Dance, so that champions moving off Sterak's will have adequate alternatives. We don’t have a ship date for that yet, but it'll definitely be in the first half of 2022.
