Flex role in pro play?

Im just wondering if it is illegal for a certain player to play a role that is different from what was declared? Are they not allowed to switch lanes at the beginning of the game?
Example 1, support and adc switching roles during the draft and game.
Example 2, Faker picking an adc and moving to the bot lane.
It just never happened to I wanted to confirm if such a rule exists.
