Riot just released the new Champion Roadmap, which talks about a new Marksman champ, the eventual Aatrox GU, the upcoming VGU of Irelia and the newly revealed VGU of Akali after her.
At the end there's a teaser pic for the VGU after Irelia and Akali -

The image closely resembles Anivia's egg, and the line they use to tease it "it has been getting a bit chilly lately" also lends credence to theory, along with the fact that she's due for a Lore rework as she is one of Ornn's demigod siblings, along with Volibear and some NPCs who aren't champs yet.
