What I said above^
Turns out that previous chat bans restrict you from receiving Hextech chests from games.
I would be salty if I hadn't deserved a chat ban a month ago, but I did.
So I was just wondering how long it would be until I'm eligible again? I no longer have a chat ban and I'm just curious as to how long it would be before I'm allowed to receive awesome goodies? I'm no longer a chat terrorist (toxic, crybaby, rude) and would love to take part in Hextech like the rest of the good players.
(This isn't a bitch/salt thread, I'm just curious and excited)
Edit: Everyone get's the first chest for free guys. Please stop commenting that you got one.
Edit2: It might be only if you were restricted/banned this season.
Edit3: To everyone commenting "Good. You deserve to be punished. I've never gotten banned/chat restricted for anything. How hard can it be not to flame or be toxic?"
Sometimes it's very very frustrating to play this game. Some of us put in hours and hours into this game and at times it feels like we're wasting our lives playing. There's no other way to put it except that some people just happen to be very competitive and it takes over them. This goes for real life to. Everyone knows that one person who tries very hard in sports/games/competitions and get upset when they don't win. It's childish but it just goes to show how much the activity means to them. Same goes for League of Legends. People tend to get very frustrated when they lose a game due to something that they couldn't do anything about. You can do everything right but your teammates can make a couple mistakes (accidentally or not) and that can lead in a loss. And that makes a lot of people angry. It feels like they're getting their time wasted by the other players.
Now like I said I no longer have a chat restriction and since then I've been trying very hard to "keep my mouth shut". There's no reason to bother flaming someone over a game. And there are many other players who are trying to atone for their ways. I think it's quite rude of people to be snide about mistakes that others have made in the past, especially when they're trying to change their ways.
I will never say that Riot is in the wrong when it comes to the ways they've been handling punishments. Because I agree that the toxic players deserve to be punished. This is a carrot and stick situation and it works. The carrot is rewards like Hextech, summoner icons, events and the stick is chat bans and bans. I was just wondering if players who have given up their toxic ways and are learning to be good players would be able to participate in rewards and if so, when.
I have not been saying that toxic players should get rewards. That has never been my point. But for those players who have seen the error in their ways, do they still deserve to be punished? And if you think that they still do, have you never been forgiven for a mistake that you've made?
