July 13
RUMOR: SK Gaming players in revolt
Rumors from Summoner's Inn suggest that SK players are in open revolt against the management after Support nRated was kicked from the team. Supporting this evidence are a number of cryptic tweets from SK ADC CandyPanda. It is additionally rumored that the players have been threatened with legal action should they refuse to play out the remainder of the season. SK has not made a statement regarding the issue, and both of SK's Week 8 LCS games were played with their normal roster.
Kori, formerly of MYM was announced to be joining the NACS Team Vortex. He is anticipated to replace current Vortex Mid laner Bischu, as Bischu's performance with the team has failed to live up to expectations.
Steeelback joins NACS Team Imagine
After both their starting and substitute ADCs, Massacre and Intense, were unable to obtain visas in time to practice with the team this week, NACS Team Imagine has added former Fnatic ADC Steeelback to play this weeks matches. It is not currently known whether Steeelback, who is not affiliated any other LCS or Challenger Series team, will remain with the team or if he is merely a substitute.
July 14
Player Bug Report tool launched on PBE
Responding to player feedback that the current Bug Report tool is clunky and outdated, Riot Games announced a new, improved Bug Reporting tool that was moving to the PBE for testing. The tool is anticipated to replace the old method of posting bug reports on the PBE boards.
Unicorns of Love announce the acquisition of new Junglers
In the wake of Kikis' departure, Unicorns of Love officially added three players to their roster: Gillius, H0R0 and Airwalks. Gillius was announced to be their main Jungler, with H0R0 and Airwalks as substitutes. Gillius went on to play both of UoL's Week 8 LCS games.
Brokenshard replaces Rico as Coach of Team Dignitas
Current Team Dignitas Coach Rico is flying to France to take care of some personal business for the foreseeable future. The Dignitas organization has officially moved EUCS team Dignitas EU coach Brokenshard to coach their NA LCS team while Rico is away.
July 15th
Former Unicorns of Love Jungler Kikis, who had previously been rumored to be in talks with Cloud 9, has officially joined EUCS team Gamers 2. He replaces Maxlore, who on July 7th joined Gamers 2 as a Jungler on a trial basis.
Gambit adds Moopz, Steeelback, and ImSoFresh to its sub roster
EU LCS Team Gambit former added several players to its former support roster; ImSoFresh as a Jungle substitute, Moopz as a Support substitute, and Steeelback as an ADC substitute. Steeelback currently plays for NACS Team Imagine, but will remain in NA with the team as his position with Gambit is reported to be merely a formality.
A Riven bug was discovered today, where mashing the 'b' key during some abilities would allow you to cancel your recall animation and instantly recall. Riven was disabled, but it was later discovered that this bug could be reproduced with any ability that had a channel time, meaning nearly every champion in the game could exploit the bug with a little practice. Ranked queues were disabled on July 16th while Riot tried to figure out the problem. Happily Riot was able to resolve the issue within four hours and both Riven and Ranked queues were re-enabled.
July 16th
HUD update goes live in patch 5.14
The HUD update, which had been tested on the PBE for a number of weeks, is now ready to move to live. Featuring a complete overhaul of the HUD and a visual style change, as well as a number of new additions, the update will be launched along with Patch 5.14.
RUMOR: Balls, Incarnation, Sneaky, Westrice moved to NACS team Cloud 9 Tempest
C9 Balls, C9 Incarnation, C9 Sneaky and Westrice were all listed on the C9T LOLeSports page as part of the NACS team Cloud 9 Tempest roster. Cloud 9 Manager Jack Etienne responded to the rumor, stating that no rosters had been changed and the players were merely substitutes.
*Former Vortex Mid Laner Gate joins Team Impulse
Gate, formerly the Mid Laner for NACS Team Vortex was officially added to the Team Impulse roster. He is said to be shifting to the support role, to compete for a starting spot with TiP Adrian. He later started as Support for the team in their Week 8 LCS match against Team Dragon Knights
July 17th
Reginald steps in as Head Coach of TSM
Reginald, Owner/Manager of Team Solo Mid, announced on Twitter that he would be stepping in as Head Coach of the team. Locodoco, the current TSM coach, would remain on stage, but Reginald stated he would be stepping in on Monday, July 20th to "[lead] discussions within the team in a productive manner" in hopes of improving the struggling TSM, who had lost all of their last four LCS games moving into Week 8.
Thorin, well known writer for Goldper10 and Gfinity and host of the shows Summoning Insight and Thorin's Thoughts, posted an AMA today. His previous AMA occurred over Inven on March 7th - 8th, 2015.
July 18th
Bubbadub, former support player for 2013 LCS team Complexity, was the on-stage coach for Cloud 9 in week 8 LCS Matches. Charlie Lipsie, who has been the on-stage coach for Cloud 9 for the rest of the season, is believed to be coaching NACS Team Cloud 9 Tempest. No official statement has been made regarding a coaching change.
TiP Adrian steps down as a starting Support
After playing for Team Impulse in their first Week 8 LCS match against Team Solo Mid, Adrian announced on twitter that he would be stepping down as an active player due to his lack of self confidence. He hopes that this break will help to motivate him and intends to continue as a competitive League of Legends player. Team Impulse announced in a statement that they would support Adrian in whatever path he chose to take and said that they hoped that he would remain an active member of their roster. Team Impulse fielded their Support sub Gate for their second Week 8 LCS match against Team Dragon Knights.
July 19th
Current Top 10 Korean Challenger player Dart joins ROCCAT as Top Lane sub
Dart, a top ten Challenger player in Korea, is believed to have joined EU LCS Team ROCCAT as a top lane sub. No official statement has been made regarding his acquisition.
