Hello all! It's been a busy week in the E-Sports scene as usual, with several notable figures departing their organizations. Keeping track of all the news can be difficult at times, so check out this thread to see what you might have missed!

Tuesday, July 7

Bilgewater update heads to PBE

The champion updates for Gangplank and Miss Fortune were revealed. They headed to the PBE alongside a new featured game mode called Black Market Brawlers, which features an additional resource called Golden Krakens that can be use to upgrade your minions or purchase new items.

Patch 5.13 Announced

The latest set of League of Legends patch notes, including Tahm Kench, the new Devourer enchantment, and the large scale AP item changes, were revealed. The patch went live later in the week.

Wednesday, July 10

NACS Team Imagine hires entirely new roster

Team Imagine has entirely dropped its current roster of players and brought in a completely new roster of players plus two new managers, Frank “Soloside” Fang and Ana “ana” Xjor. The new lineup is as follows:

Top: Chunkyfresh

Mid: Mancloud

Jungle: Moon

ADC: Intense

Support: Baby

Thursday, July 9

Tahm Kench released

Tahm Kench, the River King, is League of Legends’ newest champion. A tanky support with a number of unique mechanics, he was included in patch 5.13 but was unavailable until later in the week.

Kikis leaves Unicorns of Love

Kikis revealed today that he was dissatisfied with the communications and work ethic of the Unicorns of Love squad and announced his departure from the team. He stated that he would like to play in the LCS once again and will continue to work his hardest to show his fans what he is capable of. Unicorns of Love has not yet announced their replacement jungler.

Friday, July 10

Nick Allen leaves Riot Games

Nick Allen, former League Operations Manager for Riot games, announced his departure from the company today. He has accepted an e-sports partnership position with Twitch and will be moving to Northern California to be closer to his family. His replacement has not yet been announced.

Vici Gaming forfeit Demacia Cup

Vici Gaming was forced to forfeit their quarterfinals match against Invictus Gaming in the Demacia Cup after Vici support Mata was suddenly rushed to hospital. He was diagnosed acute appendicitis.

July 12

Kikis to join Cloud 9

German site Summoner's Inn reported the rumor that Kikis was in discussion with Cloud 9 to join the team as their new jungler. The site also reports that it is possible that a contract has already been made.
