Zac Elastic Slingshot is still bugged after 10 months

Sometimes during the game, your Elastic Slingshot cancels without any reason apparently.
Anyone else seen this bug?
EDIT: Thanks to /u/WhiteGuyThatCantJump, he posted the RIOT response to why Zac's Bug hasn't been fixed yet. So, those that can reproduce the bug, please reply on Riotsubninja's post on twitter.
