LEC Season Finals Qualification

I don't really get how championship points work in the new LEC format, and as an XL fan, I was wondering if it's still possible to make season finals even after ending 10th in both winter and spring.
Some guys on Discord told me that XL and SK locked top 3 or something when they beat MAD and FNC respectively.
G2 and MAD are already qualified for season finals, I know, but I'm worried that XL might have to win summer to make it in season finals.
