Hello everyone, a couple of weeks ago I purchased a used 2015 SV and have loved it so far.
The issue I've been having though is I can't connect to Carwings (NissanConnect EV). I had to go through Nissan's support center to remove the previous user who was still associated to car's VIN. So now I have my own NissanConnect EV PIN and Password, but when I try to login through Carwings I receive the following error: "The connection the the center failed". This happens regardless of where I'm parked and the time of day so here is what I've tried so far:
a. Reset all Carwings settings to default
b. Remove fuse 34, wait 5 minutes and replace
c. Disconnect 12v battery
Struck out so far with all of those attempts. I can confirm all the 3G unit exists as indicated by the TCU ID under the Unit ID Information. And I can confirm the GPS itself is working because it follows my location as I drive (maps and EV charging stations must have been updated somewhat recently).
I checked into the car with LeafSpy and read the DTCs. Here are the relevant ones:
U1A00 0008 TCU ACC No Conn AV-194
U1A00 0008 TCU USB Comm Av-199
U1A00 0008 TCU Tel Antenna No Conn AV-201
Seems pretty clear the TCU antenna is disconnected in some fashion, whether that be hardware or software wise. From what I read while researching this issue, it could be at the dealer never activated Telematics.
So here is my question, has anyone experienced this before? Is this a hardware issue and do you think I can fix it myself? Or is this a dealer issue and I just need to tell them about it? I'm hesitant to go to them because they didn't really know anything about the leaf when I bought from them because they sell lots of different makes of car. Thanks!
