Hi guys,
I need a bit of reassurance or second opinion of if the 2018 LEAF is a viable option for me.
I'm 24, I have a full-time job, I've saved up a fair bit a of money so I don't think i'd have a problem with going through with the purchase.
I live in Ontario, so I have access to the full $14,000 incentive rebate which is good news.
I originally put in a reservation for the SL but on second thought I feel that the SV has all the features I would require, I'm quite indifferent on the leather seats, upgraded audio, or the heated side mirrors. The only thing that would be different would be not having the Around View Monitor, is that a big deal?
My second worry is if I should indeed purchase the car or opt for a lease? I know they often say don't lease your first car, or any car. But with how fast EV are progressing, would it make sense to lease now and buy later? I could still get access to the $14,000 lease if I choose a 3-year lease (I'm pretty sure).
My round-trip commute to work is about 40ish kms so I would definitely get use out of the gas savings.
I might just be overthinking it as this is likely going to be the biggest purchase of my life thus far. So I want to make sure I have all angles considered before I commit to a decision.
All opinions are welcome. I will provide updates or answers to any questions that can help give me a better answer.
Thank you!
