A group calling themselves the 2.5ers are now calling for 2 ½ hour Church in the midst of the announcement that Church will only be 2 hours long now.
Flip N. Fetch had this to say: “2 hours just isn't spiritual enough...but 3 hours is too boring. We halve (pun intended) to strike a balance that allows members to experience the full Church experience without bloating or diluting. We believe 2 ½ hour Church will do that for the members and we demand the First Presidency implement this change instantly...either that, or it’s apparent they don't want us to be happy.”
Concern was also displayed at what is being called “liberal FHE”. Flip N. Fetch again:
“FHE has always been on Mondays. Always. It's been our privilege to do this for as long as we can remember. Now the Church wants to regulate the content and throw off our schedule? Thanks, Obama.”
Other complaints included criticism of President Nelson (“he was supposed to be traditional!”), the rotation of Priesthood and Relief Society conference meetings (“what about our pancake dinner?”, one Elder complained) and that Monopoly money doesn't count towards a full tithe.
