The Atonement and the Now

I've been doing a lot of pondering on the Atonement recently, and this thought came to mind: Christ didn't merely suffer our pains, but he experiences our joys. Therefore, choosing the right doesn't merely relieve his pain in the garden or on the cross, but gives him more joy right now.
This belief comforts me and gives me courage to choose the right.
